On the wins and the bads of life

glee, kurt hummel, chris colfer, brittany pierce, heather morris, 3x02, i am unicorn,

I love the fact that Glee is helping people become more open minded and less discriminating.

But Kurt Hummel, you are a huge hypocrite.

1) You think bisexual “is a term that gay guys in high school use when they wanna hold hands with girls and feel normal.” You want people to accept who you are, yet you do not accept bisexuals nor recognize their existence.

2) Not all gays are like you. Telling Dave Karovsky that he should know who Eve Harrington is, is like telling a straight guy that he should like cars or some other stereotypical interest. Being gay simply means homosexuality. Interests and behavior are unique for every individual.

Again, I think it’s really great that Glee is helping lessen the discrimination. But then people might end up accepting only the gays and lesbians, but not the bisexuals and other queers. And people might expect gays to fit the stereotype gay.

I guess it’s a step by step process.

I just saw this now: Lea Salonga talking about how they didn’t show the kiss when they aired Glee in the Philippines. Seriously, this lady had been my idol for as long as I can remember. I love you Lea Salonga and I suck for not going to your show the other day. But then I would just be in tears if I ever meet you.

I love her ok. ~~And lol I know exactly what show/shows she’s talking about.~~

Seriously though.

There was no reason to censor that kiss. There was no impropriety.

GIVE ME ONE MORE REASON TO LOVE YOU, LEA. I DARE YOU.

PLEASE RULE THE WORLD. PLEASE.

Naiinis talaga ako because they censored the Kurt Blaine kiss. Nakakainis talaga.

A gay kiss in a popular TV show could’ve been a landmark towards promoting less discrimination, more understanding and more acceptance. Or more open mindedness of people. But no, they censored it in Philippine television.

Lalo niyo pinapatagal ang discrimination sa mundo. Tanga niyo, gago.

There is no excuse for this not to happen more often.

Finally, a gay couple who is not just hooking up. They had a build up, they had a story, they broke barriers.

It is a real representation of the LGBTQ community. Not a promiscuous couple who are screwing for two episodes and then break up. Not just a one night stand. It is like any other televised heterosexual couple with these two.

Breaking down societal norms one kiss at a time…

I don’t care if you hate Glee or if you hate the pairing of Kurt and Blaine.

The fact it happened is something to recognize.
